South London based trio Raf and O brew their own colour of electronica around the compositions of Florentine songstress Raf Mantelli; her layered keyboard textures, guitar and samples magically frame an intimate and magnetic voice, seamlessly entwining with Richard Smith’s voluptuous bass lines and Graham Dids’s (Nico, Pere Ubu, John Cale, Gagarin) innovative electronic percussion. Live performances alongside legendary German Art-Rock pioneers Faust, Rothko, Robert Logan and Alabama 3 have shown Raf and O can swim in experimental waters whilst keeping the pool edge of pop at hand.
